Hundreds women strip naked for free flights
An estimated 300 people have stripped naked for a chance of winning free Aer Lingus flights.
The participants, who gathered at London’s Jubilee Gardens, used large cut-out shamrocks to protect their modesty on the walk. They were led by stewards on a trek alongside the River Thames, past the London Eye.
Despite warning of prosecution from police, an Aer Lingus spokesperson confirmed that some hopefuls had gone totally naked for the event.
“Once out of sight of the cautious police, many of the participants ignored police warnings and stripped off for the bewildered, but eager, onlooking crowds, who captured the event on their camera phones,” said a representative for the Irish airline.
